Chris Brown and Usher might have patched up their differences prior to the second annual Lovers & Friends Festival in Las Vegas. One day after the “New Flame” collaborators allegedly got into an altercation at Brown’s 34th birthday party, the singer took the festival stage on Saturday night (May 6). Hours before Brown’s set, Usher took to social media to refute rumors that his face was “kinda jacked up” after the alleged incident, showing his bruise-free face.

Usher would also perform this weekend, welcoming special guests Ari Lennox, Muni Long, and Summer Walker. According to TMZ, Usher and Brown’s reported fight at Vegas’ Skate Rock City was over the latter’s scrapped American Music Awards performance, which went left when a visibly intoxicated Brown acted in a “disrespectful” manner towards guest Teyana Taylor. Although Usher attempted to intervene according to a video shot during the birthday bash, Brown allegedly called the Confessions artist a “coward” and later retreated to the venue’s parking lot.
Witnesses claim that Usher followed Brown outside, to which Breezy and his security team allegedly “jumped” the 8-time Grammy-winner, which resulted in him receiving a “bloodied nose.” In another incident during Lovers & Friends, Brown was shown in a confrontation with festival security backstage, which he responded to in The Shade Room’s Instagram comments section.
“Y’all been geeked all weekend. Y’all dragging it now,” Breezy wrote. “It was mad people backstage and security was trying to clear everyone off the stage. People started pushing back. I intervened to let them know my child was back there. So y’all can keep your narrative.”
Neither Brown nor Usher made any reference to the fight during their respective Lovers & Friends set, but more reports may surface in days to come.
