On Thursday, Nicki revealed she got a nice note and flowers from two of her contemporaries — JAY-Z and Beyoncé.
In a video she shared on her Instagram Stories, Nicki showed off the white roses sent to her by the power couple. There was also a card, which reads, “Congrats on your beautiful awards. Sending you all our love. Hov and B Holla.”

Nicki responded by writing, “Thank you so much. The both of you. For everything.”
Before accepting the Vanguard award, Nicki performed a melody of her hits, including “Moment 4 Life,” “Monster,” “Beez in the Trap ” and more. During her acceptance speech, she thanked those who inspired her flow, shouting out Lil Wayne, Foxy Brown, Hov, and more.
Nicki also took the moment to highlight the significance of the Vanguard award by bringing light to mental health, specifically mentioning Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson: “I wish people took mental health seriously, even for the people you think have perfect lives. I wish Pop Smoke, Juice WRLD, and Nipsey Hussle were here.”
Nicki also dropped the video for her No. 1 hit “Super Freaky Girls.” The song, which samples Rick James’ iconic ’80s jam, features the rapper embracing his style and mixing in her own Barbi doll esthetics.
